Why Low Acid

Coffee Was Never the Problem. The Acid Was.

Most coffee gives you the burn along with the flavor. It doesn't have to.

Most people who quit coffee didn't stop liking it. They stopped because it started to hurt. So we made coffee that's naturally low in acid, with the full flavor and full strength of real coffee and none of the harsh, sour bite.

How we do it: low acid at every step

Most low-acid coffee controls one thing, or strips the acid out after the fact. We manage it the whole way through.

  • The bean. We start with beans grown in conditions that make them naturally lower in acid.
  • The processing. We favor coffees processed in ways that keep the cup smoother.
  • The roast. We roast to a profile built to keep acidity low, without roasting the beans dark.
  • The cold brew. Our cold brew is cold-brewed, not hot, which keeps it gentler still.

It's a more deliberate, more expensive way to make coffee. It's also the whole reason we exist.

No tradeoff

Lower acid, not lower caffeine. You keep the full body, full strength, and full flavor of real coffee. The only thing gone is the burn. If you didn't know it was low acid, you'd just call it great coffee.

The proof

You shouldn't have to take our word for it. Here's what stands behind the claim.

  • Third-party tested. Acidity is measured by an independent lab, not by us.
  • USDA Certified Organic. Our Medium and Dark Roasts carry the seal, which means an accredited certifier audits the chain from farm to roaster. Our cold brew is coffee and water only; the current run is not certified.
  • Two ingredients in the can. Coffee and water. No sugar, no dairy, no additives, nothing added after the fact to mask what's underneath.
  • The people already drinking it. Read the reviews on any product page. They come from customers, not from us.

The last one is the only proof that counts at seven in the morning.

Good coffee shouldn't cost you the rest of your day.

Try it and taste the difference.
